B2B E-Commerce Enablement for Shopify Merchants
What started as a simple request for an order form evolved into one of the most trusted B2B solution suites in the Shopify ecosystem. When Seth Gold, founder of Wholesale Helper, first heard that request, he did not treat it as a feature idea. He saw it as evidence that wholesale merchants were underserved and that their operational needs were not being met by existing tools.
From that point forward, Wholesale Helper was built by listening closely to merchants and systematically removing operational friction that traditional commerce solutions had overlooked.
The challenge
Wholesale commerce has always operated differently from direct-to-consumer. Buyers often know exactly what they want. They need speed, clarity, and accuracy. Yet many wholesale processes still relied on email chains, spreadsheets, phone calls, or manual order entry.
At the same time, thousands of merchants were already running their D2C businesses online. Their storefronts were modern and efficient, but their wholesale operations lagged.
Merchants needed a way to manage different pricing for different customers, customer-specific product visibility, bulk ordering without friction, and operational accuracy at scale.
There was no unified, scalable solution inside Shopify that fully addressed these needs. For Seth, this gap was not theoretical. It was something merchants were repeatedly asking for. That gap became the foundation for Wholesale Helper.

Seth Gold
Wholesale Helper began with a simple order form designed for B2B buyers who wanted to move quickly.
From there, the platform expanded by responding directly to merchant feedback. Over time, it evolved into a full B2B suite, with Wholesale Pricing Discount as its flagship solution.
Rather than replacing Shopify workflows, Wholesale Helper extended them. Merchants could manage custom pricing, control product access, and digitize wholesale operations without building complex custom systems.
For many merchants, the shift was operational as much as technical. Orders were no longer lost in inboxes. Pricing errors were reduced. Teams regained time to focus on growth rather than administration.
The sale
The decision to explore acquisition was both personal and strategic.
As Seth began thinking about long-term stability and the future of his family, the idea of locking in a win while ensuring the product could continue growing became important.
Finding the right partner took time. Wholesale Helper needed a buyer who would invest in growth rather than simply maintain the status quo. Shop Circle’s experience operating and scaling multiple B2B SaaS products, combined with its shared infrastructure and operational depth, provided that confidence.
Since joining, the focus has been on building for the long term. The team aligned the full suite with Built for Shopify standards, strengthened scalability across the platform, and accelerated product development, particularly around international capabilities within Wholesale Pricing Discount.
Merchant adoption continued to grow, expanding from under 10,000 merchants at the time of acquisition to more than 15,000 today, reflecting both continued demand and a stronger operational foundation.
The future
The ambition remains straightforward: continue being the leading B2B solution provider in the Shopify ecosystem.
The team is focused on completing Built for Shopify certification across the full suite, expanding international capabilities, shipping merchant-requested features faster, and exploring how AI can support B2B merchants with smarter pricing, segmentation, and operational efficiency.
Wholesale commerce is becoming more digital, more global, and increasingly intelligent. Wholesale Helper is positioning itself to lead that transition.
