While Sky Pilot is known for lightning-fast automation, this new feature allows you to intentionally hold back your digital delivery emails for a specific, customized period.

Pausing your delivery emails for just a few minutes can drastically improve your store's operations and customer experience. Here is why you might want to hit the pause button:

  • Advanced Fraud Protection: High-risk orders usually take a few moments to get flagged. By introducing a short delay, you give your risk-analysis systems time to catch fraudulent transactions before your valuable digital files are sent out.

  • A Buffer for Customer Mistakes: We’ve all been there - a customer smashes the checkout button only to realize they made a typo in their email address. A delivery delay gives them a vital window to reach out and fix their info before the download link flies into the wrong inbox.

  • Cleaner Inbox Management: Receiving an order confirmation, a payment receipt, and a digital delivery link at the exact same second can overwhelm a customer's inbox. Spacing these emails out creates a much cleaner, more professional post-purchase journey.

How to Set It Up (In Less Than Two Minutes)

Ready to fine-tune your delivery timing? It only takes a few simple steps in your dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your Sky Pilot dashboard.

  2. Select Emails and Security.

  3. Open the Email Template Editor.

  4. Locate the Order email delay field.

  5. Enter your desired delay (in minutes).

  6. Click Save.

⚠️ Important Things to Keep in Mind

Before you adjust your settings, please make note of how this feature operates behind the scenes:

  • Maximum Delay: Please note that the delivery window can be set for a maximum of 60 minutes. This ensures that while you have a buffer for security and organization, your customers still receive their digital assets in a timely manner.

  • Order Processing: Once a delay is set, Sky Pilot will hold the delivery email in a pending state. It will trigger automatically the moment your specified timeframe has passed.
