We’re excited to introduce a new feature to SC Loyalty Rewards that makes it even easier for customers to collect points: Earn Points for Store Visits.
SC Loyalty Rewards is all about helping merchants build strong, lasting relationships with their customers by offering flexible and rewarding loyalty programs. This blog is designed to help you understand how this new feature works and how it can benefit your store. Give your customers more reasons to visit and stay connected.

Reward points for store visits: Encourage regular engagement
One of the keys to maintaining a strong customer relationship is encouraging regular engagement with your Shopify store. The new Store Visit feature allows you to reward your customers for visiting. This is a simple yet effective way to keep your brand top of mind and drive repeat visits.
How it works:
- Customizable point amounts: You have full control over the number of points awarded for each visit. Whether you want to give out a small token or a more substantial reward, the choice is yours.
- Days between visits: To manage how often customers can earn points for visiting, you can set a “Days between visits” value. This determines how long customers have to wait before earning points again. By default, this is set to 2 days, meaning customers can earn points every 48 hours. You can adjust this value to fit your business needs, but the minimum timeout has to be 1 day.
This feature is a great way to reward customers who regularly visit your store. It promotes and motivates repeat visits without overwhelming your loyalty program.
Example use case:
Imagine you run an online clothing store and are promoting your seasonal winter collection. You set the Store Visit feature to give 5 points to customers for each visit, with a "Days Between Visits" value of 2 days. Customers are encouraged to browse your site regularly throughout the holiday season to earn points while exploring the new collection. This keeps your regular customers engaged and incentivizes new customers to return after their first visit.
Easy setup and tracking
The new Store Visits feature will automatically appear as a new card in the Earning Rules section of the SC Loyalty Rewards app. For merchants who already use the app, this feature will be disabled by default, allowing you to opt-in when you’re ready to start using it.
Once enabled, you can easily track customer engagement with this new feature through the Activity > Transactions page. You’ll be able to filter transactions to see how many points have been earned through store visits, giving you valuable insights into how this feature is performing for your loyalty program.
